Full mock up exercises are being held at New Islamabad Airport ahead of 20th April launch

The New Islamabad Airport which was slated to be completed in August of last year has finally been completed and is expected to go live after its inauguration on April 20th.

Full preparations are currently underway to make sure that the process of moving from one airport to another is as smooth as possible. For this purpose, full mock-up exercises are also being held at the New Islamabad Airport.

Moreover, before the inauguration, the airport will also go through an extensive rehearsal where everything ranging from various software, visitors checking and security, boarding, security measures and more will be held. These areas are also being checked regularly and have so far produced satisfactory results.

The offices from Benazir International Aiport have already started moving to the new airport. A new shuttle service will also begin operations at the airport from April 15th. This shuttle service will help the public reach commute between the two airports.

Various other transportation options are also being added to help the public reach the airport easily.
