Students of a private school become part of CDA’s Clean and Green Islamabad Campaign

The Capital Development Authority recently started the Clean & Green Islamabad campaign. The authority sent out most of its municipal staff to clear out garbage from many different places of the capital city of Pakistan.

Recently, Islamabad has seen a surplus in random garbage dumps which has negatively affected its beauty. Due to increase in population and lack in awareness of throwing garbage in properly designated trash cans, the problem was getting out of hand.

Thanks to CDA efforts, there are a lot of places which had heaps of garbage lying around for months have been completely cleaned. But at the heart of this campaign was to spread awareness.

Recently, students of Roots International School in H-8 celebrated an Eco-friendly day where they became an active part of the Clean & Green Islamabad campaign. After all, if children are not made aware of properly disposing of garbage, how will Pakistan stay safe from this problem.

The children of the school were seen clearing out garbage in many parts of H-8. This is a month-long campaign where the children will clean out various areas of the sector their school is based.

This is an extremely good example of spreading awareness in the youth and must be adopted by other schools.
